DescriptionOur client is in search of 2 Business Consultants to support various data-related initiatives with a particular focus on supporting the Enterprise Data approach.

Project Description 
Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills
  • Create and maintain the repository of enterprise-wide data related policies and standards.
  • Develop the Data Governance policies, standards and procedures.
  • Define processes and procedures for Data Stewards to incorporate feedback/lessons learned so that the guidance is more relevant.
  • Provide advice on the interpretation and implementation of data related policies.
  • Support the Data Architect to oversee and champion the divisional plans for adoption of the Enterprise Data Governance Policy.
  • Define and implement the ministry, divisional and functional Data Governance Councils.
  • Gather and analyze KPIs in relation to Data Governance adoption and business added value of Data Governance activities.
  • Intermediate skills using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Basic skills using Visio and MS Project. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders / experience in driving change.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to assimilate information quickly.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • A business-related post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Experience in a leadership and/or facilitation role
  • Experience in leading and facilitating discussions with Executive and Senior Management
  • Experience in developing communications strategies and plans
  • Experience using analytical and problem solving skills to plan and design creative solutions
  • Experience in creative/marketing writing, communication and documentation
  • Experience in business writing, communication and documentation
  • Experience with change management
  • Experience in government planning processes and procedures
  • Experience in policy research and development

Work Environment1 year with possibility of 4 one-year extensions 
Hourly RateNegotiable
