DescriptionThis position plans, manages and allocates resources, shapes priorities, coordinates interatctions with clients and users, and keeps the project team focused. The Project Manager also establishes a set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project work products.

Project Description 
Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as a Project Manager initiating, planning, controlling and closing projects at the intermediate level
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading and managing a portfolio of integrated projects
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience leading and facilitating meetings and workshops for project related activities (e.g., Project Initiation, Project Phase or Iteration End Reviews...)
  • Minimum 4 years proven ability to successfully work with both business and technical staff.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Familiarity with PMI PMBOK (2 years)
  • Experience working with Alberta Registries Projects (2 years)
  • Experience working with Alberta Land Registry Projects (2 years)
  • Experience with earned value reporting (1 year)
  • Demonstrated experience with managing projects with the Unified Process methodology (2 years)
  • Experience with creation of a porject charter, project vision, phase and iteration end reviews (3 years)
  • Experience with issue and risk management approaches and tools (3 years)
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, and managing projects having Business Process Management, Business Rule Management, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approaches and technologies (2 years)
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and managing projects that use model driven approaches and modeling tools (2 years)
  • Experience and knowledge with Government of Alberta Enterprise Architecture (GAEA) or similar Corporate Architectures, and all associated best practies, methods, standards, tools, policies, and processes (2 years)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities (5 years)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools, and SharePoint (5 years)
  • Experience with cost estimation standards and tools (1 year)
  • Degree/Diploma in related field
