Job Opportunity
DescriptionOur Client is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to working with a team on operational upgrades and several Enterprise IT projects. Some of the Enterprise IT project work includes completion of a Shared Service data centre, updating IP address schema to IPv6, enhancing DR services, and implementation of Quality of Services (QOS). Note: Approximately 15 hours of overtime may be required per month.

Project Description 
Experience Required/ Mandatory Skills
  • Active CCNA Certification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco layer 1-3 technologies, including the planning, design, and implementation, in an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure. (5+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience in direct involvement in developing best-practices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.). (4+ years)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with QOS across an Enterprise Class organization, which has some devices such as (Catalyst 6500 switches, Nexus 7K and 5K, ISR (29xx and 4xxx Series), as well as ASR routers series, as well as Cisco switches (296x and 4500) and 3650/3850 series, including the planning, design, and implementation, in an intermediate to large scale networks infrastructure. (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience working with 802.11 wireless networks. (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience with networking aspects of Microsoft Windows desktop, servers, and NixOS based servers. (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer service in both individual and team environments, utilizing technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. (4+ years)
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and/or during block time/change windows outside of regular business hours (8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Alberta time, Monday to Friday).
  • Ability to travel outside of the primary work area within Alberta as required. NOTE: Company will cover the expenses for travel incurred, upon pre-approval.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) technologies, including the planning, design, and implementation, in an intermediate to large scale networks infrastructure. (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and/or other routing protocols design and operations. (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of MPLS and VPLS technologies. (1+ year)
  • Demonstrated experience in the area of Data Centre’s Core Network design and Data Centre disaster recovery. (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience with wireless WAN technologies. (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience with network security and issues relating to ‘Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy’ (FOIP) legislation as concerns the public sector. (1+ year)
  • Demonstrated experience in performance measurement and creation of service level agreements. (1+ year)
  • Demonstrated experience with IPV6, including the planning, design, and implementation, in an intermediate to large scale networks infrastructure. (4+ years)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cisco OTV and the deployment of VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager (SRM). (3+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience in project management. (1+ year)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing front-end requirements for emerging technologies (feasibility, analysis and design phases). (2+ years)
  • Experience functioning on an individual basis.
  • Experience functioning in a team/group environment.
